Choosing the Correct Trailer Hitch and Accessories for a 2008 Chevy Cobalt LT1

For the 2008 model year, the Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24756 fits the Sport, Sport Sedan, and SS Coupe models of the Chevy Cobalt.

If you have a regular sedan or coupe model you would need # 24745. The underside of each may look similar but the mounting locations and hitch design are different which is why there are different hitches for each.

I have included links to the installation instructions for both hitches for you to view. If you require the first hitch, 24756, the correct ball mount is # 3594. For the second hitch, the correct ball mount is # 3593. For either ball mount you can use pin and clip # PC2. For a 1-7/8 inch diameter ball use # 19256. For a 2 inch use # 19258.

For trailer wiring, if you have a Sport sedan or regular sedan use # 118398. If you have a any type of coupe, use # 118407. I have included links to the instructions for the wiring as well.
