Question:
show me how to find plug in on truck and how to install it

The way that the Draw-Tite brake controller, # 5500, will install on your truck depends on how the truck is equipped. If your 2012 Toyota Tundra came with a 7-Way trailer connector, installation is very easy. You will just need wiring harness # 3040-P. This harness plugs into a connector already present on the vehicle.
It is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. You must attach the extra white ground wire to a clean metal surface for the controller to work properly. After plugging in the harness to the truck and brake control, mount the controller according to the linked instructions and installation will be complete. I have included a link to a video that shows a typical installation for you.
If the truck has a 4-Way trailer connector, you can use the # ETBC7, and wiring harness # 20127. This is a hardwire installation. I have included some links that will explain how to perform a hardwire installation.
