Question:
Hello, I have a this type of WDH system, but it is the older one that does not use a lift handle for the spring bars, Question: my spring bars are labeled 750lb TW and my trailer has about 1000lb TW my hitch shank is 14000lb GTW. So do i need to replace the spring bars with heavier ones? Which ones? OR is it the combination of both Spring bars TW rating that make up the total TW? Hope this is explained well. Thanks for the Help.

You should be able to just replace the spring bars you have with ones that have a higher tongue weight capacity as the other components of your setup have a higher tongue weight capacity.
The most important factor to consider when selecting spring bars is the loaded tongue weight. Which if you have a loaded weight of 1,000 lbs you would want a Reese Pro Series Replacement Trunnion Bar # 58346. This spring bar is rated at 1,200 lbs and would most likely work very well for you.
If you could email me back with the part number that is on the head of your weight distribution system I will be able to tell you for sure if the the # 58346 would be the correct bar for your setup.
