Once the trunk is installed is it permanent? Meaning will I need tools to remove it? Or does it slip or come right off easily?

The Instatrunk, # B4263401, is considered a permanent installation. You will need to drill for installation and bolts secure it to the vehicle. To remove it, you would need tools. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view.
