Will the SportRack Explorer Cargo Box Fit on a 2004 Toyota Highlander With Factory Roof Rack

The SportRack Explorer Cargo Box, # A90095, is designed to fit most factory roof racks with crossbars. As long as you have a minimum crossbar spread of 24 inches and a maximum crossbar diameter of 4 inches on your 2004 Toyota Highlander, then this cargo box will fit. You may be able to adjust your crossbars if needed to get the correct spacing.

You can verify the spread of your crossbars by measuring from the center of one crossbar to the center of the other crossbar. This cargo box uses a 4 inch u-bolt mounting kit that fits most factory crossbars.

If your crossbar spread is less than 24 inches or you do not have crossbars, then I would recommend purchasing the Thule Crossroads Roof Mounted Foot Pack, # TH450, and the Thule Square Load Bars, # THLB58. I have included a video of this roof rack being installed on a 2010 Toyota Highlander.
