Question:
do you have to unhook the bars before backing into a campsite. Also the same question for the Reese #66153. Thanks

I would recommend removing the spring bars of this Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ90-00-0600 before you make any tight turns in forward or reverse. However, if you are backing up in a fairly straight line without making any tight maneuvers you would be fine to leave them on.
This applies to the Reese SC Weight Distribution System # RP66153 and basically all weight distribution systems.
