Will Blue Ox Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Fit 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Long Bed and is Installation Difficult

Question:

I am just checking to be sure Blue Ox gooseneck hitch DH1104 is the correct one for 2006 Dodge 2 wheel drive long bed 1/2 ton pick up. Aprox. how long to install and degree of difficulty. Average or slightly above ability. Also does box have to be loosened to install I am in real need of this hitch if it is correct one as soon as I hear back from you and all is ok I will be ordering the hitch

The Blue Ox gooseneck hitch, # DH1104, will fit your 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 long bed as long as the truck does not have the heavy duty suspension. I have also included a link to all of the gooseneck hitches that will fit your truck.

I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to review. It takes our installers about 5 hours to install a gooseneck hitch, depending on the hitch and vehicle. But we have lifts, all the tools, and the installers are very experienced. A shade tree mechanic working at home with a helper and taking regular breaks would probably need the better part of a day. The bed does not have to be loosened to install this hitch.
