Question:
I need to purchase the wiring harness for my 2002 Kia Sportage. According to your website, this is the model 118371 that is for my car. Do I need to purchase any other parts for the trailer wiring or is the harness all I need? Do I need something that will allow me to plug the trailer right into a connector on the hitch? This is all new to me but Im confidant that with a little guidance I can do it myself. Thank you, Elizabeth

The wiring harness you have selected is the proper item for you vehicle. Doing it yourself is quite easy. The hardest part is loosening or removing the trim panels inside the back of the vehicle. Below I have posted a link to the installation of this harness on the 2000 Kia Sportage. You will be connecting the wires in line with your vehicle tail lights. The end with the trailer connector will be stored inside the vehicle until needed. When needed, it will be routed through the rear door and to the trailer, using caution to not get the wiring involved with the door latch when closing the door. After the door is closed you can pull out more wire if needed, the wire is protected by the vehicles door seals. Let me know if you have problems. We are here to help.
