Is toolbox UWS00419 water tight? Can I put a backpack with computer in it, lock the toolbox and have it go through a carwash or a heavy rain and still have the contents dry?

Expert Reply:
In order for something to be considered water tight or water proof, it would have to be able to be submerged under water for a certain amount of time and not let in any water. This toolbox cannot claim to be water proof as water would eventually get in. However, if going through a car wash or rain storm, the contents should remain dry. We still recommend placing items that cannot get wet inside of a sealed plastic bag or container to be certain.
