Recommended Tire Chains for 2012 Ford F150 with 275-/55-20 Tires

Question:

The Glacier Cables pdf catalog the recommended one for P275/55 R20 is 2028C. However in your advise you say PW3029C. Which one is the right one? I have 2012 F150 but that should have nothing to do with the tire size Pirelli P275/55 R20

For the 275/55-20 tire, I would recommend the # PW2028C which is the correct size for that tire.

Keep in mind that these style of chains are designed for occasional emergency use and would be best used by somebody traveling in areas where snow might be encountered. These chains are not meant for continuous use.

If you know you were going to consistently finding yourself in situations where chains will be needed, chains like part # PWE3229S would provide a more aggressive grip and would be a better choice.

I would recommend consulting your owners manual for any recommendations or prohibitions regarding snow chain usage.
