Is this carrier compatable to a 1997 lincoln town car?

I would not recommend using the Boss Tilt Down Motorcycle Carrier on your 1997 Lincoln Town Car. From the research I have done, your vehicle probably has a maximum tongue weight capacity of 200 lbs. Once you add the weight of the motorcycle carrier and weight of the item you are carrying you will probably exceed the limit of 200 lbs.
I would recommend checking your owners manual for the tongue weight and trailer weight capacity of your vehicle and looking into a small trailer.
If you need a hitch to tow a small trailer, then I would recommend the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch, # 90139, for your vehicle. I have listed a few other items you will need that will allow you to tow a small trailer.
