i have a 2012 gmc crew cab long bed 4wd srw do i have to drill holes to mount rail or does it use existing holes

Expert Reply:
In order to mount rails in the bed of your 2012 GMC Sierra, you will need to drill holes through the bed. This is so the rails can attach to the underbed brackets that attach to the truck frame. For a custom installation kit, if you have a 1500 model with 8 foot bed, use # RP50064-58.
If you have a 2500 HD or 3500 model with 8 foot bed use # RP50066-58. I have included some links to the instructions and videos for each installation kit for you. Other installation requirements including drilling and enlarging holes is explained in greater detail.
