As long as the factory mounted cross bars are no thicker than 4 inches in diameter and the cross bars can be adjusted so that the cross bar spread is between 24 and 34 inches apart measured center-to-center, the SportRack Aero XL Cargo Box will work great on your 2011 BMW X5.
