The item you have selected, Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier # 63153, is for a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver hitch and is designed for hitches with up to 500 lbs tongue weight capacity. If you have a hitch rated for less than 500 lbs tongue weight then the hitch on your vehicle is the limiting factor and you need to load the carrier accordingly, see instructions link. The weight rating of your hitch is usually stamped on the hitch somewhere. This item does not come with a hitch pin and clip so you would need to purchase that also (see links below) there are several different types. You may also want a cargo bag for this carrier and the etrailer.com cargo bag, # 988501 is very nice and waterproof, see link.
