Reese Strait-Line Hitch cam adjustment

Question:

I installed the cam adjustment bracket for sway control 18 from center of ball as is stated in instructions.Now the cam adjustment is all the way end i had to take the lock washer off to have enough room to adjust it in.Is my bar to short or what.Thanks

Expert Reply:

You have one of the finest weight distribution and sway control systems
made. I am sorry to hear you are having problems with adjustment. I
have posted two links below to videos that show installation and
adjustment of the system. You need to get it adjusted so the lock
washer is on the cam adjustment arms for safety. You may have to move
the cam brackets or switch them from side to side, which turns them
around, to get the proper adjustment out of the arms. There is also a
link to the instructions below. If I can be of further assistance let
