Will the Thule Helium 2 Bike Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack Fit a Class I Hitch on a 2012 Suzuki SX4

Question:

The description on the TH970XT states it will fit a Class I hitch, but the video says Class II only. Will it fit a Suzuki SX4 with a Class I hitch?

I spoke with my contact at Thule and she stated that the Helium, # TH970XT, will fit in a Class I trailer hitch. The original design of the Helium restricted it to Class II hitches but it has been redesigned since we shot the video to fit a Class I trailer hitch. You will also want to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole on the Suzuki out to the distance required to clear the rear of the vehicle. If it is less than 8-1/4 inches, the rack will fit. I have included some links on this bike rack for you.

If you will be carrying womens, childrens, or alternative frame bikes, I recommend using the bike adapter bar, # TH982XT, to carry the bikes more level. I have included a link to a video that shows how the adapter works.
