For your 2012 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, I recommend the Reese Quick Install kit, # RP50066-58 that you have referenced. With this kit, you will not need to drill into the truck frame to install the underbed brackets. However, you will need to drill through the bed, with any kit, to attach the brackets to the above bed rails. I have included a link to the installation instructions and a link to a video showing a typical installation for you.

The rails are compatible with Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Reese, Valley and Husky 5th wheel trailer hitches that fit on above the bed rails.
