Question:
I need a hitch system to control sway. I have a 30foot Jayco TT being pulled by a Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. Trailer weight aproximately 7000lbs. Hitch I have is regular weight distributing with a side hand crank sway control. Still sways way too much and is all over the road.

For a trailer of that length and width, a friction sway control would not be my first choice. Using two sway control units like part # 83660 (one per side) is recommended for trailers exceeding 25 feet in length. A friction sway control unit will resist trailer sway once it begins, but it is not the most effective solution available.
If the weight distribution system you are currently using is a Reese system that uses the spring bars with the hook (see photo), you can add the Dual Cam Sway Control, part # RP26002. The Dual Cam system will stop trailer sway before it can begin, and is designed to force the trailer to stay in line behind the tow vehicle. If you are using a Reese system with straight ended spring bars, it might be possible to upgrade to spring bars that are compatible with the Dual Cam system, depending on the age of the system.
If you could provide more details about the system you are using, I would be happy to look into other options for you.
I have linked you to our weight distribution FAQ article, as well as instructions and a product demonstration video featuring the Dual Cam Sway Control system.
