Question:

I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado with a pre-wired 7 RV plug. I want to install an adapter that will change that to a 7 RV and 4 flat. Will this one work?

By the term pre-wired, do you mean that you have a factory 7-way on your truck? If so, you will actually need the Replacement Multi-Tow 7-Way and 4-Way Trailer Connectors for Ford, GM Trucks with Factory 7 Way, item # 30955, for your 2008 Chevy Silverado. This is the connector you can use to plug directly into your vehicle wiring and replace the 7-way you currently have.

You would also have the option of using a standard 7 to 4-Way adapter, like part # PK12716.
