This hitch is a Class II hitch that will have a tongue weight capacity of 350 lbs. This hitch will accept a Thule bike rack that is designed to fit in a Class II 1-1/4 inch hitch. Some Thule bike racks are designed to fit both a 1-1/4 inch hitch and a 2 inch hitch, like the Thule Vertex 2 Bike Rack, part # TH9028. If the bike rack you have can fit both hitch sizes, I would recommend to use a Class III 2 inch hitch like the Hidden Hitch Class III 2 Inch Hitch, part # 87600. The 2 inch hitch size is the most common size hitch used and can be used for bike racks and if you ever want to tow something later on.
