The Pilot Wheel to Wheel Stainless Steel Nerf Bars, part # NB-252, will attach to the truck body mounting bracket that is connected to the frame of your 2000 Dodge Ram Quad cab. There is no drilling required.
I am including a link to a video of the Pilot tube steps being installed on a 2007 Dodge Ram truck. The part number and vehicle is different but it is the same installation procedure as the # NB-252 on your 2000 Ram Quad Cab.
