You are correct in assuming the Dual Cam System will give you at the very least a stiffer ride, but the system may prove to be ineffective as well. It is very important to match the weight distribution system tongue weight (TW) to your specific application. For instance, using spring bars with a higher TW capacity than a trailer calls for can lead to erratic weight distributing performance.

I would recommend item # RP66041, the 350 Mini Weight Distribution if you have an a-frame trailer. If you have a pole tongue trailer, I would recommend item # RP66071, the Single Bar Weight Distribution. Either of these options would be a better fit for your particular needs since you should always try to keep the TW near 10-15 percent of the Gross Total Weight.
