Platform 4 Bike Rack that can Reduce to 2 Bike Rack and Clear Spare Tire on a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser

Will this rack fit my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser,,,,and will it fold up with my spare tire,,,,,,,and can i take off the last 2 to make a 2 bike rack sometimes

First, you are going to need to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole out to the distance required to clear the spare tire on the back of your 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. This distance will need to be less than 3 inches for the carrier to fit when folded up.

There is no easy way to reduce the Swagman XTC4, # S64665, down to 2 bikes. You could take out the rear most platform and up right but the main body structure will still be there.

A better option would be The Thule T2, # TH916XTR-918XTR. This is the 2 bike version and it comes with the 2 bike extension. You can remove the extension so you can carry 2 bikes. It measures 5 inches from hitch pin hole center to nearest part of the carrier when folded instead of the 3 inches that the XTC4 requires.
