Can the Honda Fit Be Flat Towed Behind a Motorhome
Can we flat tow a Honda Fit, automatic ?
If so, are we limited on certain years?

The information that we have is that the Honda Fit Automatic is towable as is for the 2007 to 2011 model years. If you have a 2012 model or If you would like to let me know the year of your Honda Fit, I would be glad to check to see if it is towable or not, or you can check your vehicle owners manual to determine the towability and pre tow procedures for your specific vehicle. Honda vehicles have special procedures for towing so you should check your owners manual.
The items needed to tow your Fit will include base plates, a tow bar, safety cables, wiring, and a braking system.
For a 2007 or 2008 Fit The Blue Ox base plates, # BX2252, should be the correct base plate kit, but Blue Ox has not verified fit for the automatic models. For the 2009 to 2012 Fit the Blue Ox base plates, # BX2253, would be the correct base plate kit.
For a tow bar the Blue Ox Aladdin, # BX4325, would be a great choice. This tow bar includes a set of safety cables for towing your Fit.
The lighting kit for the 2007 and 2008 models would be the Blue Ox Diode Wiring Kit, # BX8848, and for the 2009 to 2012 models you can use the Blue OX Bulb and Socket kit, # BX8869. Along with these wiring kits you will need the 4-Wire, Coiled Electrical Cord with 4-Way, Round Plugs, # BX8861, to span the area across the tow bar to the motorhome and Fit.
Finally, the Blue Ox Patriot braking system, # BRK2010, is easy to install and use, see video link.
