Question:
I have a 2000 Ford super duty that I was going to replace the trailer plug down by the bumper with part# 118243. This pickup also has a 6 pin trailer connector mounted in the box fender for pulling a 5th wheel so you can leave the trailer cord inside the box. I was wondering if there was a T that was available to put in down by this other harness so I wouldnt have to cut into the new harness to get the wires up to that second trailer plug. Thanks

Expert Reply:
If the 6-Way that is in the box connected to the factory wiring harness you could use something like the 5th wheel adapter harness # 20140. This harness plugs in line with the factory harness and then the blunt cut end can be routed up to that connector in the truck bed and the wires attached to it.
