Does this rail kit work for both ext cab and crew cab models and where does the pin reside relative to axle in travel mode for crew cab

The Reese installation kit # RP50064-58 does fit extended cab and crew cab models of the 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. Once installed and a hitch is mounted, the hitch centerline will be approximately 1-1/2 inches forward of the rear axle centerline. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you. I have also included a link to a video showing a typical installation.
If you measure from 1-1/2 inches in front of the center of the rear axle forward to the cab, that will tell you where the king pin will be in relationship to the back of the truck cab.
