Question:
If my trailer frame width is larger than 2 1/2, can I use longer bolts to span the trailer? If so, what grade should I use? Thanks,

I spoke with my contact at Reese and he informed me that you could use longer bolts to accommodate your trailer frame that is wider than 2-1/2 inches. He said you would want to use grade 8 bolts also.
I attached a review video and installation instructions for this product for you to check out also.
When picking out a weight distribution system you will first want to know the loaded tongue weight of the trailer. Any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle will be considered as tongue weight also. I attached an FAQ on weight distribution systems for you to check out also.
Once you know the loaded tongue weight of your trailer you will want to pick out a weight distribution system that encompasses that figure. If you had a tongue weight of 1,000 lbs the Reese SC Weight Distribution # RP66155 would be a good choice for you.
