I own a 1995 Ford F150 4x4 which came equipped with the seven way plug for trailer hookup.What is envolved in installing a trailer brake controller?

The Tekonsha Prodigy would work fine as a brake controller. Since your 1995 Ford F-150 came with a factory 7-Way, your truck is pre-wired for a brake controller. There should actually be a port underneath the dash for you to plug a brake controller into the truck.

You could order part # 90185-3035P. This package is the Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller and the brake controller harness that will plug into the back of the controller and into the port underneath the dash, near the center console.
