Question:
I have a 26foot Crusader 5th wheel by Forest River. I would like to tow a small aluminum trailer by Aluma with either my motorcycle or an ATV as the load. The 5th wheel has a 4inch square bumper with only a tire carrier mounted to it. Is this an acceptable application for this hitch?

The RV hitches like the Ultra-Fab 2 Inch Motor Home Trailer Hitch, part # UF35-946402, are designed to be used on the back of an RV to haul bike racks and cargo carriers. This hitch is one of the only ones that says for light-duty towing also. It states a 350-lb maximum tongue weight capacity, but you will want to make sure not to exceed the weight capacity of your fifth wheel bumper.
We do not recommend towing two trailers because the tongue weight of the second trailer will be applied to the rear of the fifth wheel causing more of the weight of the fifth wheel to be behind the rear axle. If you do not have a large enough percentage of the fifth wheel tongue weight ahead of the axle it will cause trailer sway. Overall handling is also affected. It can cause a dangerous driving situation.
I am including a link to a FAQ page on trailer towing.
