Decimal Point on Prodigy Brake Controller Display Disappears and Reappears

Question:

Occasionally on my trailer break controller, the decimal on the lower right hand side will disappear for a period of time and then reappear for a short while and I am not sure why? Is there something wrong with the unit or is this a code that I am unaware of?

I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha because this is one issue I have not heard of before. My contact recommended to first disconnect the controller for 3 to 5 minutes. This will allow it to reset itself. After that, set up the brake controller according to the instructions (see link) and then set the boost to level 2.

If the decimal comes and goes like it did before then this would indicate with a problem with the boost button itself, the display, or the brake controller circuitry and it is advised to have the controller replaced.
