Question:
i have a 99 f 250 5.4 gas. what would be the best programmer for the best price. im looking for more torque - horsepower- gas mileage. i would also like to know how much increase i will get torque-horsepower-gasmileage and will it be a strain on my tranny while pulling.

For a 1999 Ford F-250 with a 5.4 liter gas engine, I think the best value for the money would be the Superchips Performance Chip, # SU1865. This unit will offer UP TO 53 extra horse power and 57 foot pounds of torque. In addition to adding power there are also tune levels specifically for towing so when in the proper tuning it will not strain the transmission.
Estimating gas mileage is very difficult because everyone drives differently and there are other factors like the terrain, temperature, and condition of the vehicle. But as a general rule if in the proper tuning you can save gas.
