Question:
location and how to access oem plug on 2011 Ford E350 with factory 7 wire plug and towing package. we have 8 vans with this option needing electric brake controllers. we found a seven wire plug under the left side of dash but it doesnt appear to match the adapter pictured with the controllers you have listed. the plug we located has 7 spade connectors and the one pictured looks like pins.

According to my technical contact at Tekonsha you will need to remove the center panel above radio and to the left. Once removed there is a box where the OEM brake controller would be installed, if your van was so equipped, and the connector for the brake controller wiring harness is behind that box. The connector under the dash is most likely not the correct connection point for brake controller wiring.
For your 2011 Ford E350 Van with factory tow package wiring you will need to use one of 2 wiring harnesses depending on which brake controller you select. If you select a Tekonsha brake controller like the P-3, # 90195, you will need the Plug-In Wiring Adapter, # 3034-P, to install the brake controller, and if the brake controller you select has blunt cut wires exiting the back you will need the brake controller wiring adapter, # 20270.
