Will the Thule Gateway Bike Rack Fit on a 2012 Chevy Cruze and Impala

Question:

we are going to buy our son a pair of montian bikes for christmas. we will also buy a bike rack so he will be able to get them home apx. 600 miles. He will be renting a car. probably chevy cruz. Is there any car in that catagory that the gateway wont fit? I know this is a very hard question but you could give us an idea it will help.We will be buying him a new car when he graduates from college next spring and we were thinking of a chevy cruz or impala so that is why we hope he will be able to rent that type of car.

The Thule Gateway 2 Bike Carrier # TH9006XT that you referenced is a very versatile trunk mounted bike rack and would work on a 2012 Chevy Cruze and Impala to carry two mountain bikes.

Typically, the biggest obstacle that prevents a trunk-mounted bike rack from working on a vehicle is the presence of a spoiler on the vehicle. If you avoid getting him a vehicle with a spoiler the # TH9006XT will most likely work for your application.
