It sounds like you either have a bad ground somewhere in your system or maybe that you have the turn signal wire connected in the wrong spot. Make sure that your ground wire is connected to a clean piece of metal. To make sure your turn signal wire is connected correctly, use a circuit tester to determine which wire from your tail lights has an intermittent signal when the turn signal is applied. Have a friend engage the turn signal while you are testing the wire.
