Are OEM Bumper Brackets Used to Install a Westin Diamondstep Rear Bumper on a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500

Question:

I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500, that needs a rear bumper replacement. I currently have the original brackets still on the truck. Can the Westin diamond step rear bumper work with just those or do I need to use the mounting brackets that come with it?

The Westin Diamondstep Bumpers, like # 2009-92240, will require that you use the brackets that come with it rather than the existing brackets on the truck. The 92240 part of the part number is that installation kit.

The Perfect Match Series, like # 32005, reuse the original OEM bumper brackets.
