Do i need an adapter for my 2004 dodge ram pu, i have a 74378 pilat electric brake controller- end of control does not match factory oem wire harness, Do I need an adapter that goes between the control and factory 4 way plug?

If the connector on the back of your Pilot brake controller, # 80550, will not plug into the connector under the dash on your 2004 Dodge Ram Pickup, you will need to use the wiring adapter, # 20261. I would recommend soldering the wires to the like colored wires coming from the back of the brake controller.
If your brake controller has a port in the back of it that requires a connector, you would need the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter, # 3020-P. which has the vehicle side plug and the brake controller side plug in connector.
