Estimated Power Gains for an Edge Evolution Programmer for a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500

Question:

how much more power can i get

Expert Reply:

The Edge Evolution, # EP85150, has 5 power levels. The following estimates are from Edge and apply to a 2002 Silverado 1500 with a 4.8, 5.3, or 6.0 liter engine. Level 0 is stock and you will not see any gains in power. Level 1 only tunes shifting and shift points.

Level 2 will provide estimated gains of 5 horsepower and 5 foot pounds of torque.
Level 3 will provide estimated gains of 10 horsepower and 10 foot pounds of torque.
Level 4 will provide estimated gains of 15 horsepower and 15 foot pounds of torque.

If you have a 1500HD with a 6.0 liter then the estimates are a little different:

Level 2 will provide estimated gains of 5 horsepower and 5 foot pounds of torque.
Level 3 will provide estimated gains of 12 horsepower and 12 foot pounds of torque.
Level 4 will provide estimated gains of 24 horsepower and 22 foot pounds of torque.

It is harder to get additional power from a gas engine. You may be more interested in cold air intake and/or exhaust. Either or these will add power as well. I have included links to the cold air intake and exhaust options fora 2002 Chevy Silverado for you.
