Question:
We have a 2011 Ford F250 Super Duty, Crew Cab with full size bed. The OEM Hitch is rated at 6000 lbs and 12500 lbs with a Weight Distributing Hitch. We are getting a 24foot PJ trailer with a 6inch frame and a 14,000 GVWR rating. Which Weight Distributing Hitch will work for this combination?

When choosing a weight distribution system, you will want one that has a tongue weight capacity range that encompasses the trailer tongue weight when loaded and ready to tow. When calculating tongue weight you will also need to factor in the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the truck.
For example if you are towing at the maximum of your truck at 12,500 pounds, and tongue weight is usually 10 to 15 percent of gross trailer weight, that would put the tongue weight between 1,250 to 1,875 pounds.
If the truck has a 2 inch reviver, I would go with # RP66157 if you like the friction sway control style. This system will fit on a trailer with a frame up to 6 inches tall but no wider than 2-1/2 inches wide. You will just need a properly sized ball to complete the set up like # A-90 (2 inch diameter) or # C40041 (2-5/16 inch diameter).
This system has a tongue weight capacity range of 800 to 1,500 pounds. If you find your tongue weight higher than 1,500 pounds, you can move some of the weight towards the back to get the tongue weight within range. I have included a link to our FAQ article on weight distribution for you.
