Can the Rear Hatch be Closed with the Rightline CampRight SUV Tent Connected

It is possible to have the SUV hatch closed with the Rightline CampRight SUV Tent, # RL110910, connected. However, it would be best to have the tent disconnected from the vehicle if you are going to have the hatch down because it was designed so that you can separate the tent from the vehicle. This is so you can leave the tent and still use the vehicle.

Please refer to the instructions I have linked for you. If you were to stop at step 11 and attach the straps elsewhere, it is possible to leave the hatch down. The instructions also state to have use of the vehicle for the day, simply disconnect the upper and lower sleeves and zip up the door leading to the SUV. The upper and lower sleeves are secured to the tent body by the dowel and loop fasteners around the doorway
