Class III Trailer Hitch to be Used with a Weight Distribution System on a 2004 Ford Explorer

I'm sorry, but weight distribution is not compatible with Class II hitches. Class II hitches have a smaller, 1-1/4" hitch opening and lower weight capacities that the Class III and higher hitches with a 2" opening. Weight distribution shanks are only made for hitches with a 2" opening, because only these hitches have the ability to increase weight capacity with use of weight distribution. To answer your question, no, there is not a 350 Mini weight distribution system made for any Class II hitches. If you'd like me to check for a Class III hitch for your vehicle, I'd be happy to do so. We offer three different Class III hitches that are designed to mount below your factory-installed 1-1/4" hitch. They are the Draw-Tite Class III Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75132 and the Hidden Hitch Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver # 87417; both of these hitches will still give you access to your factory hitch. The Valley Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver # V82430 for your Explorer will hide your current hitch. All are custom fit, have a 5,000 pound weight capacity and 8,000 pound capacity with weight distribution.
