How to Determine Which Bike Racks Have Enough Clearance to be Used on a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Sahara

hi, i need a carrier for a 2007 jeep wrangler Sahara ,rear mounted spare . will the th912xt have the clearance?or what do u recommend! 2 Or 3 bike thanks ron

In order to determine which bike racks will have enough clearance to be used on your 2007 Jeep Wrangler Sahara you are going to need to take one important measurement. You will want to measure from the center of the hitch pin on the hitch that is on your vehicle out to the furthest point out on the rear of your Wrangler.

Once you have that measurement you will be able to look at all of the different hitch mounted bike racks we offer and determine which ones will work for you.

The Thule Helium Aluminum 2 Bike Carrier # TH970XT that you referenced has a measurement of 8-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin out to the nearest upright bar of the bike rack. If you find that that measurement you took is less than that you should be fine to use this bike rack. I attached installation instructions for this rack for you to check out also.

If you find that you need a bike rack with an even larger distance than the # TH970XT you should check out the Rola NV2 Hitch Mounted 2 Bike Carrier # 59508.
