Will the Superwinch Custom ATV Winch Mounting Kit Work with a Superwinch LT2000 ATV winch

Question:

the instructions say mount the winch to winch plate with the motor of the winch to the left hand side of the atv is this correct i have a super winch LT 200. If this is true the cable has to go over the top of the winch spool it works but im wondering if this is correct. What i mean the left side it says when sitting on atv motor should be on the left side

I spoke with our technical contact at Superwinch and he said that the Custom ATV Winch Mounting Kit, # 2202382, was not designed specifically and tested for use with the LT2000 winch that has the motor mounted on the right side of the winch.

It is specifically designed to work with the winches listed on our product page, like the EX1. I put together a photo showing the difference between the two winches for you to see how the motor is installed on the opposite side of the winches.

My contact said that he would suggest trying to mount the winch and mounting kit on your ATV. If clearance is a factor then the LT2000 winch would need to be replaced with a winch that has a motor on the opposite side. He also said that the LT2000 winch is smaller in size than many other winches so it is likely it will work for you, but the motor may be offset too far to the right for installation.
