Question:
Will this transmission cooler work on my 2007 Avalanche 5.3 motor. I am looking for the most cooling possible. HH41312 or should I use the recommended one D13105?

The Tube and Fin Class IV Transmission Cooler, item # D13105, is designed for towing with a gooseneck or fifth wheel trailer, up to 12,000 lbs. This transmission cooler will supply excellent cooling for your Avalanche and will not affect the performance of your vehicle when not towing. You cannot cool the transmission too much. The only consideration is that when it is very cold in the winter you should allow the transmission to come up to temperature before taking off or putting a load on it. The Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, item # D13504, is an excellent transmission cooler as well and the advanced plate and fin design will work better for cooling your vehicle transmission. This cooler will provide cooling for towing anything up to a fifth-wheel or gooseneck trailer. I have included an FAQ article on transmission coolers and a video showing a typical installation. You will most likely also need the Derale Snap-In Radiator Adapter Fitting for GM, item # D13035, for installation of a transmission cooler on your 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche with 5.3 liter engine.
