is there anyway that this can be put on a truck with a cap on it. 2010 GMC 6.5 bed with fiberglass cap.

In order to install the DeWalt Industrial-Grade Full-Frame Steel Ladder Rack, # DIGFFR360, you would have to remove the camper shell. Instead, you can use the TracRac CapRac Ladder Rack, # TA29200, which is specifically designed for use on camper shells. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.
