Question:
I have a Ford F150 Fx4 and my tailgate has a plastic cover over it as well as a bar that lifts out for a handle to climb in the back of the truck. Will this extender still work on my truck?

According to Topline, the Bed Extender # BX4004-01, can be installed on trucks that have a tail gate cover that is plastic/fiberglass or a spray in type. The lift out bar could get in the way of the extender. But, the extender is width adjustable so you could move it in or out as needed and then install the mounting brackets.
