My prodigy reads nc when connected to my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 even though the trailer marker lights are on. I also have no trailer braking and read 4.3 volts at the brake wire connection. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds as if there is a problem somewhere in the output wire from the brake controller. With the manual override activated, check the output (blue) wire coming out of the brake controller using a circuit tester, like part # 40376. If you have voltage, then check for output at the connector, on the post where the blue wire terminates. Continue checking all the way back to the trailer. You might have a pinched or broken wire that's preventing the signal from passing through.
