Will The Blue Ox Diamond Hitch Gooseneck # DH1303 Fit My 1998 Chevrolet K1500 z71 Truck

Question:

I have a 1998 chevrolet k1500 z71. It has the 3/4 ton rear springs and axle on it. So I want to pull a gooseneck trailer with it. Blueox.com shows this hitch for a 2500 truck. Will this fit the 1500 truck? Also, this hitch is significantly cheaper than other hitches. Is it an inferior hitch? Why is it so much cheaper? What is the easiest hitch to install on this type pickup? Thank You,

I do have a Gooseneck hitch available that will fit your 1998 Chevrolet K1500, but the item you selected, Blue Ox Diamond Hitch Gooseneck, part # DH1303, will not fit.

For a gooseneck hitch, I would recommend the Reese Remov-A-Ball Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, part # 6300-4440. This hitch will fit your K1500 and will fit both the 6 and 8 foot bed models. You will have no problem installing this on your truck with the 3/4 ton springs and axle.

Our representative at Blue Ox informed me that they do not have a Gooseneck Hitch available for the 1999 Chevrolet K1500.
