Are Longer Cross Bars Available for Use with the Yakima Rail Grab Towers on a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe

Question:

Do you sell the side rail kit for a 2011 Santa Fe GLS with a longer bar other than the 58 bar. We are considering a yakaima skybox mounted on one side of the antenna and a 30-32 kayak on the other without using a vertical kayak craddle. K.

For installation of longer cross bars on your 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe with factory side rails you will need a set of Yakima RailGrab Towers, # Y00138 and a set of longer cross bars.

Yakima offers longer cross bars in 66 inch, # Y00410, 78 inch, # Y00411, and 86 inch, # Y00420.

Keep in mind that the weight limit for the roof of the 2011 Santa Fe is 165 lbs, and you should not exceed this weight, which includes the roof rack, Kayak, cargo box and all of the contents. You should also be aware that extending the cross bars could cause clearance issues when driving or entering and exiting the vehicle and can put extra stress on the roof rack and vehicle roof because of the weight extending out farther to the sides of the vehicle.

The Yakima SkyBox 16S, # Y07178, would be a good choice and 2 of the Yakima Mako Saddles, # Y04037, would work to carry the kayak.
