Will this bike rack securely transport a womans step thru hybrid bike or will I need to purchase a bar adaptor?

Since you have a womens bicycle frame, you will need to use an adapter bar like the SportRack Frame Adapter Bar, part # A34500, to mount your womens hybrid bike to the SportRack Super EZ Platform-Style 2 Bike Carrier, part # A30901LR.
