Installation Tips for Installing a Yakima KingJoe Rack on a 1996 Subaru Legacy

Question:

we just got the y02620 3 bike rack and we are not sure how to attach it to my legacy. We could not find a diagram on how it should be placed. we could not figure out how the straps should be placed. It was not holding securely and kept bouncing against the window. Do you have a picture we could look at, or could you tell us how and where to put each strap. Thank you

I checked with Yakima and found some installation notes for the Yakima KingJoe 3 Rack # Y02620 on a 1996 Subaru Legacy.

It looks like you will need to place the upper strap hooks at the top edge of hatch lid. The outer/lower support frame rests on the upper portion of the license plate. Place the lower strap hooks at the bottom edge of the hatch lid. Take the side strap hooks to top side edge of hatch.

I looked for a picture but could not find one for you.
